Putting the right people in the right job has a direct impact on services, efficiency, productivity and therefore, safety. It's important to know whether candidates have the skills they need for a job and how well they'll fit into the team and organisation. However, the recruitment process is very much two-way. It not only gives us a chance to explain about the job and the Company but it's also your opportunity to decide if this is the right job and Company for you. Throughout the process you will have the opportunity to ask any questions which we're always happy to answer.
We use a variety of assessments in our recruitment process. There are benefits of using this approach for both the Company and the candidate:
- Research indicates that it's a good predictor of job success. The multi-assessment approach has proved to be over four times more accurate in predicting performance than the standard interview.
- It's more objective than an interview alone.
- It's easier to make the final decision as we have a large amount of relevant and reliable information presented as ratings for each candidate against each competency.
- We can demonstrate that our recruitment procedure doesn't discriminate. In addition, applicants perceive it as a fair approach.
